Sephora Run

Hello fellow earthlings!

I just wanted to quickly show what I picked up at Sephora a few weeks ago. Speaking of Sephora, Does anyone else just horde their points? It's a combination of nothing catching my eye and wanting to just collect them. Anyway! My main reason to go in there was to purchase two specific items. Of course with my frantic "In a Store" mindset, I completely forgot to try and find the BeautyBlender. I was even willing to find a sales associate since I can never find what I'm looking for in that store.

I did however pick up the main product I was in there for and that was Origins Super Spot Remover. I recently had such a bad break out, that it left me with a sour feeling towards some of my facial/acne products. Before purchasing this product, I was using two spot treatments depending on what I wanted to deal with. I decided that at $15.50 USD, I needed to finally try Origins for this product. I must say after one use of this product I'm highly impressed. The acne that I put it on had reduced greatly just within the hour. I'm excited to continuing using this product to see if it lives up to the great things I've heard. In truth, I'm indifferent with this. Sometimes it works really well and other times it's just okay. Either way I'm still glad I picked this up because when it does work for me it's an amazing result. Warning though be careful with application because it will extremely dry out the skin around the area that you've applied it to.

The second thing I picked up was on the verge of a necessity and an impulse buy. As I was heading to check out, where they even had BeautyBlenders new mini sponges that didn't remind me, I found Smith's Rosebud Salve. I was suffering from really chapped lips and everything I have only gives temporary relief. It smells amazing, softens my lips, and at $6 USD I can see this being my lip balm for awhile. I've almost lost this product and planned on going to Sephora the next day to pick up another before I found it again. I'm so in love with this product.

A week later, I decided to stop at a different Sephora to finally locate the BeautyBlender, which I was finally successful. I've used other brands makeup sponges, but they never absorbed the water that was always described with the BeautyBlender, leaving application less than okay. This leave my face flawless with the MAC Studio Sculpt I was using. Now that my summer color is finally gone, I'm excited to try it out with some of my bb creams!

November Birchbox

Hello Fellow Earthlings!

Once again it's time for my monthly Birchbox! I will say that this months birchbox is probably my favorite I've gotten so far. To update those who don't know, Birchbox is a monthly box for $10USD a month that sends five samples plus a bonus lifestyle sample. No boxes are completely the same because you can customize them depending on what you personally enjoy. I believe I have every option open because I just love testing new products. You can leave reviews on products you've tested to earn points, which can then be put towards full size products on their site. Check out Birchbox.com for more information on this boxes!

Okay first product on the list in Bain de Terre argan oil & passion flower Color Therapy Styling Oil. It's an essential oil that nourishes your hair and adds shine. Full size product is $14. This is a product that I'm excited for. I love hair serums to keep the wildness at bay. Bonus: It smells amazing.

Up next is Eslor Firming Collagon Day Cream. The info card the box comes with says this day cream boosts elasticity and keeps wrinkles at bay. The sample is a surpisingly good amount at .34oz. Full Size is 1.7oz and will cost you $85. Since I not really looking a day cream that is meant to keep wrinkles to a minimum, as long as it's moisturizing I'll use it. If anything I can try passing this along to my mom. Although I can see her taking that as an insult.....

Back to the box! I got another perfume in this box. This time it's Jolie's Folle de Joie eau de Parfum. That sure is a mouth full. The scent is blends of mandarin, rose, and sandalwood. Full size of this product is $98. Sadly I'm so sick of perfume samples, I probably won't use this for awhile, but I must say it's the best smelling one I've used in a while. I could even throw it in my purse in hopes I use it.

Also found in the box is Not Soap, Radio's Joy Inducing Body Wash. Full size is $16 and it's a lemon scented wash that smells amazing. I'm so excited to use this. It's a very natural smelling lemon so it in no way smells like lemon pledge or any other gross lemon smelling cleaning product.

The last sample product is theBalm cosmetics Cindy-Lou Manizer. Oh this product. I can fully say this is the best sample I've gotten in my box so far. I already owned their Mary-Lou Manizer which is a champagne highlighter I love using on my brow bone and inner corner of my eye. I usually didn't use it on my cheeks because I felt it was too shimmery for me there. The Cindy-Lou Manizer is theBalm's soft pink highlight. This is actually perfect for my cheeks. With my fair skin, it gives the look of just walking outside in the brisk cold morning. I've even used this as an eyeshadow when I forgot mine and it was gorgeous. Full size of this product is $24 and definitely on my to buy list!

My Bonus Lifestyle sample was Dang's Coconut Chips. Birchbox sells a pack of 6 for $18. It's basically coconut meat dried out, but these were so dang delicious my fiancé and I went to the website to see where they were sold. The day after I got my box, we went to the closest Whole Foods and picked up their original and Caramel Sea Salt flavor. They have only three ingredients and are the best thing I've ever snacked on. If you're interested click here to see which stores carry them.

That's everything in my box! I hope you enjoyed seeing what I got in my box and I'd love to hear what products you'd be excited to try or what you received in your November Birchbox. I can't wait until next month's box now!

Wedding Planning Stress

Hello Earthlings!

I was thinking about what to blog when I had a conversation with my Mom about some wedding plans. I'm not a person who like the attention on me or to plan something as simple as going to the movies. So when I realized it was time to start planning, I had a slight freak out. There's just so much to do! I made a wedding binder to stay organized and hopeful lessen the stress. I wanted to share my journey through planning a wedding to hopeful help someone else who also doesn't care to plan things.

I had a nervous feeling when my fiancé and I were looking at places for our ceremony and reception. Everywhere we went, all the Saturdays in October for next year were taken. I started to feel like we were going to have to push it back more than we wanted. Finally we found a golf course we both liked and our parents approved of. I thought that was going to take away a lot of the stress, but oh dear how wrong I was.

A few weeks after that, We went to a tasting there and spoke with some of the recommended vendors. We had an idea of who we were using, but were still lost on some things. We put a deposit down for the cake, flowers, and my dress. I feel like we've already got so much things done since we've gotten engaged, but last night I finally got everyone in my bridal party and realized how much there's still left to do. Making our invitations/save the date cards, finding a photographer, booking a dj, and dealing with the guest list.

What else is becoming stressful is décor. We wanted our wedding based on the colors of the British Show Doctor Who. Trying to add Doctor Who into our wedding without making it uncomfortable for our guests who are not fans is harder than I thought. Our color for the wedding is Royal Blue. That makes the decorations easier, but dealing with flower choices very limited. Thankful looking at Etsy has given me some ideas to throw Doctor Who into our wedding. For example, Our cake will be a space theme with the TARDIS on top and I've been looking into getting a guest book that's doctor who themed.

As for now, There's still a lot to do, but I'll be excited for the end result. I know that the stress is worth it to be able to marry my best friend and celebrating the start of our life with our family. Now if only I could get him to help decide on a photographer and dj.

October Birchbox

Hello fellow earthlings!

**I just discovered this post written from awhile ago and knowing it's way past relevant, I wanted to post it anyway since I just received my November box!**

It's Birchbox time once again! I skipped posting on September's box because I had too much going on, but now that it's back let's just review what Birchbox is for those who don't know. It's a subscription service for $10 USD a month and you get samples that you can almost customize depending on what you use. They even have a men's box that I believe goes for $20 USD.an review what you get in your box to get points, which can then be used on birchbox's website towards their full size products. Onto the products of this month's box!

The first product is Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream. It feels light weight and I'm excited to try this out. It says it helps "smooth away" dark shadows and reduce the appearance of fine lines. I'm always switching between my eye creams and now I just added another!

Next product is Coastal Scents Revealed Eyeshadow sample. Its four small samples with two matte and two shimmer shadows. They feel really creamy, nice natural colors, and rather pigmented. However I'm still loving my Naked2 Basics palette, so this won't be used for awhile.

The lovely Dr. Brandt is up next. I was excited to see another of their products because I really enjoyed their last sample. This one is their Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner. It's meant to clear out pores for fewer blackheads and smoother skin. I have used this once already and I'm so far impressed. It may not be a miracle worker, but I was able to see a difference.

I also received Essential Elements Wake Up Rosemary Shower Gel. The smell is herbal, citrus, and mint all at once. Usually I'm not the biggest fan of citrus and mint scents together, but this smells amazing and I can see how this could help you wake up.

Last in this month's box was another Harvey Prince perfume. This one is their Petaly Noir and I must say I've never liked any of the perfume samples I've gotten from them. I think this is the third perfume of Harvey Prince's that I've gotten (the second from birchbox itself). I almost hate getting perfume samples at this point.

That's it for this months box! For the most part it was a good box, minus the indifferent perfume. I love getting these every month to try out new products. I hope you enjoyed seeing what I got in my box and I hope you'll share what you got too!

Bare Minerals

Hello Fellow earthling!

Today I wanted to talk about one of my favorite companies to get a foundation from. About a year and a half ago, I decided to step away from liquid foundations because they never set into my skin correctly and I always felt like I was wearing a mask after a few hours of wear. So I stepped into my local Ulta to pick up Bare Minerals Matte Foundation in Fair for $27USD and Bare Minerals Well-Rested Eye Brightener for $18. I went with the Matte formula of this foundation because I felt I had extreme oil that I had to cover. I loved the coverage of this foundation. My skin concern was to mainly cover up the redness on my face without making my face shine. However I noticed that the matte finish on my skin made my skin look unreal almost. I still continued using it and would spritz on Mario Badescu Facial Spray to liven up my skin.

No point in cleaning up a product I used daily just for this picture!

Last week I finally decided to purchase Bare Minerals Collector's Edition Deluxe Size Original Foundation in Fair for $39.50 USD since I had a $20 VISA Giftcard. I knew I'd be running out of my Matte Foundation soon and figured since I loved the brand, why not? After visiting 2 Ultas, 2 Sephoras, and store locating my shade, I had to do what I hate doing with make-up and order it. After using it for a few days, I've figured out the differences between the formulations and wanted to compare them.

Coverage
I feel like I can get better coverage with the Original foundation. I wasn't expecting anything different from the Matte, but I was honestly rather surprised by this. The Matte foundation is also more difficult to blend and makes dry patches stick out on my skin. The original foundation is incredibly creamy, making it so much easier to blend onto the skin.

Finish
I think I've come to the realization that I may not have been as oily as I thought I was. That or my choice for foundation had changed. I started thinking the matte foundation made my skin look fake and would use a facial spray. The original foundation perfectly matched my skin and almost gives it a glow.

Staying Power
I generally use a Smashbox primer everyday with my foundation just to make sure I'm good for the whole day. I've also starting using a setting powder. That being said I do think the Matte has a slightly better staying powder because it is a matte foundation. With the original, while I don't feel like an oily mess like I do with liquid foundations, I do notice I need a few touch ups here and there on my t-zone.

Overall, I think the original foundation is better for my skin. Since the Deluxe size doesn't have that turning safety seal on it, I've decided to only use the Matte Foundation while traveling so I don't waste any product. Other than that, I think the packaging on the Deluxe Size is adorable this year. I only jump around on my liquid foundation to find the perfect one for me, but BareMinerals will definitely be in my makeup bag for an extremely long time.

Shopping Frustrations

Once again it has been such a long time sine my last entry, but I felt like I had nothing to talk about. However, it's not true because I'm currently planning my wedding for next October! As I get into more planning, I do plan on trying to blog about some planning tips or just simply any ideas that may help anyone.

Why I felt I wanted to make a post today was the frustration of shopping. I can't be the only woman who doesn't enjoy shopping. It doesn't matter if I have an idea of what I'm looking for or just going for something to do, it doesn't end well in my favor. Today I had the goal to find a new foundation, jeans, fall clothes, and possibly some bath products. I was even okay with spending slightly too much money. What happened instead? Not many good fall clothes, couldn't find any of my sizes, they were out of my foundation shade, and every bath product had strange smells.

This is always a reoccurring problem for me. After a work week, I have the urge to go to stores and shop. However, I've always dealt with an anxiety with stores and people. I can feel comfortable going to maybe 3 places and then I feel like I need to hide myself away again. When you add traffic due to construction (also a problem in Michigan once the snow is gone), that need to hide myself away strengthens. A great option is of course online shopping, but I'm one of those shoppers that like to try on things to make sure things fit or, for the case of make-up, making sure the colors are right.

I just needed to rant about the fact that it's hard for me to handle shopping and the fact that when I do go, It always ends with me finding nothing at all in my size/style/color. I hope there's others who share my same struggle.

August Birchbox

Hello Fellow Earthlings!

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted one here, but I honestly haven’t had much to talk about. That will soon change! I’ve gotten new products to talk about and places to be going! Earlier Last week though, I finally decided to renew my Birchbox subscription. If you don’t know what birchbox is, It’s a $10 monthly subscription service with sample products to try out. You can customize what type of products you get. So if you aren’t into getting food samples like tea or granola bars, you can opted out of it. So if you’re subscribed to birchbox, you’re box may not really like this because you can get a taste for products that you may not have heard about and then purchase them on their website. Another amazing thing about this subscription is you can get points for reviewing products that were in your current months box and use those points to get discounts on your purchases. Clever little system there Birchbox! Now onto my August box Unboxing!

First thing that caught my eye was that lovely bright and colorful packaging. It’s Amika’s Perk Up Dry Shampoo. I was familiar with the print from their blow dryers and straightener, but I’ve never tried any of their styling products. I am really excited about this because I’m already obsessed with Batiste Dry Shampoo and I’ve recently run out of my travel sized dry shampoo. I’m almost hoping I don’t fall in love with this product only because the full size can will cost you $21.

Another product in here is a Dr Jart+ product. Again it’s a brand I’ve heard of, but I’ve never tried anything from them. It’s their Dis-A-Pore Beauty Balm. I’m extremely excited to try this because it says it’s suppose to conceal pores and controls oils which is always a good thing for me. The full size product is priced at $36.

Next is NAOBAY Body Radiance Lotion. It’s natural and organic that uses olive oil and avocado to hydrate your skin. It almost smells like cleaning products but it’s not overly powerful. It sinks into your skin fast and left it quite moisturized. It also says to focus this on dry patches of skin and cellulite-prone areas to skin your skin. Full sized product of this sample cost $24.

A product that I typically get in these boxes is an eyeliner pencil. For most people, I think that would an awesome thing, but I’ve kind of given up with black pencil liners. The one in this box is Noir Cosmetics Long-Wear Eyeliner. This is the biggest eyeliner that I’ve gotten in a birchbox, so that is pretty good. I’m not sure if this is the full sized product, but the full sized product is $15.

The beauty extra in my August is Benefit Cosmetics It’s Potent! Eye Cream. I’m so excited for this sample because I’ve been looking at getting this eye cream for almost a year now and held off because I was never sure if I’d like it. Full Sized product is priced at $34.

That’s everything in my Birchbox! I’m quite happy with this box and I can’t wait until next months! If you're interested in Birchbox just click here

LOTR/Hobbit Cake

Hello Lovelies!

Today's a fantastic weather day and I'm finally finished with my literature class which means that I'm officially done with school! It's such a great feeling to know I don't have to worry about registering for classes anymore. In celebration, I wanted to share with you a cake that I made recently for someone's birthday. They gave me a picture of a LOTR/Hobbit cake from the internet, so I basically recreated that with my flair put in. Down below I'll include the recipes or products I used.

It's a two tier high-ratio yellow cake with buttercream frosting and a buttercream fondant over it. The grass is all piped butter cream frosting and all the  figures are made from marshmallow fondant. The figures were all molded by my boyfriend because I'm very uneasy with my modeling skills, but since he's had multiple art and modeling classes in college, I felt it better with him to do those.
One product that I purchased was the Buttercream Fondant. It's Duff's brand from Charm City Cakes. It's the second time I've used his fondant and I have to say I really prefer this fondant over Wilson's fondant because it's really easy to work with and it tastes quite nice. You can find a lot of his products at Michaels in the cake decorating aisles, but I really urge you not to buy things from them unless you have one of their coupons!

High-Ratio Yellow Cake

Yields 2-3 9 inch pans        Baking Temp: 340 degrees F

Cake Flour                            1 lb 4 oz
Granulated Sugar                1 lb 5oz
Emulsified Shortening            10 oz
Salt                                              .5 oz
Baking Powder                           1 oz
Dry Milk Powder                        2 oz
Light Corn Syrup                        3 oz
Water, cold                               18 oz
Eggs                                            10 oz
Lemon extract                      .25 fl oz

Combine flour, sugar, shortening, salt, baking powder, milk powder, corn syrup and 8 oz of the cold water in a large bowl with a paddle attachment on a low speed for 5 minutes.

Combine remaining ingredients in a separate bowl. Add these ingredients to creamed-fat mixture in three additions, making sure to scrape the bowl down after each addition.

Beat for another 2 minutes on low speed

Divide out the batter in a greased pan. only fill the pan up half way. Bake in at 340F until a toothpick comes out clean (usually 12 to 18 minutes but varies on your oven so make sure to keep checking it!)

Butterceam Frosting

1/2 cup Shortening
1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (1 stick)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
4 cups Sifted Powdered Sugar
tbsp Milk

Cream together Shortening and butter it's light and fluffy. Then add in vanilla extract.

Add the powdered sugar in. It's best to do this one cup at a time, let in mix in, then scrape the bowl down to make sure nothing's stuck on the bottom.

By this point the frosting will be a thick. Just add in the milk and mix it together. You can also add a little bit more milk if you need it a thinner frosting.

Makeup Haul

Hello Earthlings!

I wanted to make a quick post about a few items I picked up yesterday. I was pretty impressed with myself on how much money I had saved purchasing these products.

The first place I stopped at was Nordstrom Rack. Originally I came here in hopes of finding some Topshop scarfs that I had seen on there website. I've never been to one of these stores, but I can safely say I think I'm in love. I didn't want to go overboard in there because I knew I had another place to go. With no luck on finding any scarfs, I did have luck in some clearance bins. I picked up two Stila Countless Color Pigments in Melody (purple and pink shadows) and Light Show (blue, yellow, and green shadows) at $5.50 USD (originally $22 USD). I was going to purchase these at Sephora or Ulta, but could never bring myself to doing so. I have no idea when I'll be using these, but I could not bring myself to pass these up for the price. They even had some Smashbox and NARS products here that weren't on clearance. I'll definitely be coming here again if I want some new products before heading to Sephora or Ulta.

The second place I stopped at was Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall in Auburn Hills, Michigan. If you are ever anywhere near Auburn Hills, just head to this mall. You can find some pretty great things at a discount. I came here specifically to go to Saks Off 5th for theri makeup department. I stopped there a few days ago for the first time to pick up a Clinque product for my mother's birthday and ended up saving $10 USD on that product. I picked up two MAC products since I wanted to start adventuring into their brand. The first item I picked up is MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Adored for $21 USD (Retail price around $32). I loved the look of the product on skin and it's extremely pretty in the packaging. Also, after some research when I got home, I discovered a lot of the products Saks Off 5th carried were limited edition, like this skinfinish. They even had some products still from MAC's Archie's Girl Collection. The second product I picked up is yet another eyeshadow. It's their Matte Eyeshadow in Copperplate for $10.50 (originally $15). Its a gorgeous muted grey brown color. All I did in the store was swatched it and I knew I have to find a MAC counter in the near future to pick up more of their matte colors. It felt amazing, blended out well, and had strong staying power.

Now I know where to go to find high end cosmetics or past limited edition pieces for cheaper, I'm really happy with my purchases. I should have paid $91USD (plus tax) for these four products, but instead I got a steal by paying $42.50USD(plus tax). So whether you're heavily into makeup or wanting to start growing a collection, Check out some outlet shops! You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Mini-Vacation

Hello Earthlings!

It's been awhile since I've been able to come on my blog for anything. I've been busy the last week and a half juggling my internship, literature homework, and making a cake. While I'm currently being distracted from my literature homework from Michigan's gorgeous (yet terribly humid) weather, I figured I'd post some of my pictures from my mini-vacation up north.

Burt Lake State Park
We stayed at Burt Lake State Park in Indian River, Michigan. I've been coming here with my family for around 15 years now, I believe. This is literally my favorite place to come in Michigan and it's become my home away from home.

My Dogs Gus (one on the right) and Ellie (one on the left) patiently waiting in line to get back on the boat.

Mackinaw Island
One of the days up there wasn't fantastic boating weather for Burt Lake, so we decided to head up to Mackinac City to take a Ferry to Machinaw Island.

At the top of the walkway going towards the cemetery.
One thing I love doing while on the Island is visiting the cemeteries. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the cemetery and the main street this time, but I did manage to capture this gorgeous view from the top of the hill heading towards the cemetery.

Park by The Iroquois Hotel
After walking around a lot by the cemetery, Skull Cave, and Lookout Pointe we headed back towards the main part of the town to rest a little bit. You get an amazing view from the park that's located right next to The Iroquois Hotel. Once we rested up a bit, we continued walking and going in a lot of shops, where I almost bought myself an Ugly Doll (I was so close this time!). Before we left, of course I had to buy some fudge. I stopped at Joann's, as it's generally my favorite out of the fudge places up there (Kilwin's is a close second). I picked up Chocolate, Butterfinger, and Salted Caramel Chocolate. All of them are very delicious and unfortunately the Butterfinger fudge is already gone.

Sunset at Burt Lake State Park
I wish my mini-vacation could have been longer, but we had to get back to the real responsibilities of our life. I'm really hoping to visit Mackinaw Island in the fall because I'm always hearing how beautiful it looks. I hoped you enjoyed a little sneak peak into my vacation!

Until next time!

Boots No 7 Moisturizer

With it being slightly gloomy here in Michigan, I figured it would be a good time to talk about some new moisturizers I recently purchased. I knew I was in desperate need of new moisturizers. My night cream was pretty average, but left my face oily and would clog my pores during the night if I put even a little bit too much on. My day cream wasn’t awful, but after weeks of using it I realized I really needed to start using some with SPF in it. This was my mission seeing as summer was on its way and you definitely need to help your skin thrive against the sun.

After looking up different kinds, knowing the price I wanted to spend, and finding one for normal-to-oily skin, I settled on Boots No 7 Beautiful Skin day and night cream since the reviews were rather good. It took 3 trips to stores to find both creams (I was determined to not order these online). They were both $13.99 for a 50 mL container at Target and also at Ulta. The day cream has spf 15 in it, which is perfect since my foundation has another 20 spf. The day cream claims to moisturize for 24 hours and leaves a matte finish.

I've now been using these moisturizers for a few weeks now. One good thing I've noticed with these is that a little goes a long way, so I'll be using these for quite some time. I'm also a fan of the packaging. I like the aesthetic of lotions in jars and the colors are just perfect to me. I'm really loving the night cream because it's very moisturizing for my skin. When I wake up my skin does feel oilier than I'd like, but seeing as I wash my face right when I wake up this isn't too troubling for me. The day cream I'm still on the fence with. I love the spf, but I've noticed that I'll want to wash my face earlier in the day. I've been testing out new foundations and such, which makes me unsure as to what is causing my face to become oily faster. I'll continue to use both moisturizers, will definitely be repurchasing be repurchasing the night cream, and have to come to an absolute decision about the day cream.

I've really become intrigued with this brand. I want to try out more products from Boots No 7. I'm most interested in their face cleansing wipes and eye creams. I have one of their foundations and I quite enjoy it (although I picked up a shade that's a smidge too dark for me). So I'm really interested in trying out more make up products for the No 7 line. Today I was in Target again (It's my home away from home) and I found a tinted moisturizers for $11.99 USD that I might pick up soon. Have you tried anything from their brand and is there anything you would recommend?

Kate Spade Saturday

Hello Earthings! Today I received a package I was anticipating and I wanted to share it with you while I'm working on another post! If you couldn't tell by the title of this post I was perusing Kate Spades Saturday site while they had a big sale going on. I needed a nicer purse for days when I needed to look like I'm 22 and not have a cat print purse. I was also in need of an "adult" wallet because currently I was using two small wallets; the first was a pink leopard coin purse that I'd only use to stick my license in and the second was a little boys Spiderman wallet that couldn't even fit all my cards. Very mature wallets, yes I'm aware.

To start, how everything was packaged was adorable. my order slip was tucked in an envelope that reminded me of old school plain tickets. On to the products, I first picked out the Assembly Cross-body Bag in the color Black on sale for $49 USD. It reminded me of an old doctor's bag with how it's shaped and how it opens. It's got a very cute print lining the inside and a small front pocket. I really love this purse, but I'm not too thrilled on the latch that opens the purse. It's a small push through latch that is a bit difficult to open. I'm able to overlook that for how cute it is though.

The second item I got was the Zip Around Wallet in the color Steel on sale for $30 USD. Grey is one of my all time favorite colors for anything and I thought the pop of orange would match perfectly with my Kate Spade make-up bag I was given for Christmas. On this inside it has a little pouch for coins, six card slots, one slot with a window, and four long slots for paper cash or whatever else you stick in your wallet to forget about. It fits everything I need to carry with me and it's fantastic colors.

I'm loving what I got, even though it was more along the lines of an accidental purchase on final sale items. These items were long over due for me to get anyway, so my bank account may not be the happiest (although I did save a lot with these items being on sale), but I'm quite happy with my "grown up" items. This weekend I'll be heading up north and will most likely be visiting Mackinaw Island early next week, so look out soon for a post on my mini vacation!
